A year ago yesterday Ryan was born. He would have been a year old. I can't believe it has been a year already!! It doesn't seem like that long ago. We feel very blessed to have him as a part of our family.
I did really good at controling my emotions until Cami brought over the molds of his hands and feet! I don't know why I did, it is not even a sad time for us. It never really has been. I think the spirit testifies to us of the Love our Heavenly Father has for each of us and its very comforting. I feel so thankfull for ryan and for the experiences we have had over the last year.
The Sister Missionaries were over at our house on sunday for dinner, and they gave a message on The Plan of Salvation. They didn't know anything about ryan, or that it was only a day away from his year birthday. Our kids were answering all of the questions and they were impressed with how much they know. And we explained to them that it was because of our experience with our son that they knew and had a testimony of the plan of salvation. Our children amaze me sometimes, and i realized how much they did know and understood because of their little brother. He has helped and blessesd our family in so many different small but significant ways.
Yesterday we went to the cemetary and the kids gave Ryan some flowers and we got him a little toy truck. We sang Happy Birthday to him and then we had cake and ice cream with family. My kids love to involve ryan in everything! It was a good day. It made me remeber how important my family is to me and how gratefull I am for the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
