Austins Special Birthday Year

Austin Turned 8 on the 21st. He has been looking foward to this birthday for a while now. Not because it was any birthday but because this was his Baptism birthday. We actually had to remind him it was his birthday on tuesday because he has just been counting down to his baptism day. For the last 2 weeks, everyday he would mention something about his baptism. He would say "I can't belive i'm getting baptized, I'm so exited!"

He was also exited to start scouts!! we got him his shirt and my parents got him the scarf and badges. To him those were better than any toys! We actually didn't get him any toys and he didn't even think twice about it! We went to Dennys for his Birthday dinner, wich he loves! and that was exiting!

Then on Thursday he went to his very first pack meeting! He was soooo exited! He is thrilled to be starting scouts. He looked so cute all dressed in his scout stuff! He had a blast!

Baptism Day

It was a good day!

 we had alot of family come in to town! I wish i would have gotten pictures, but everyone left back to our house pretty quick for lunch so we didn't get a chance.

Austin was the only one from our ward getting baptized this month so he had his own program. Uncle Clyde gave the talk on Baptism, Grandma Patty gave the Holy Ghost talk. Other family members did prayers and music. I made the programs and they turned out really cute. If I had a scanner i would have posted it to!

Austin sang "When I am Baptized". He was soooo adorable and he did such a good job! I was so proud of him! plus he looked super handsome in his new suit! Matt and I also got him scriptures and a nice CTR ring. On sunday he looked just like a little missionary!!
After the Baptism everyone came to our house for food, and we just enjoyed the afternoon! It was lots of fun! Thanks to all our friends and family who came! It meant alot to Austin.

Later that day he said that he loved getting baptized and that he wanted to do it again.

I am so proud of Austin. He is such a good example and has such a sweet spirit and strong testimony.

While Matt and Austin were getting all their stuff together they talked about Ryan, and austin asked if Ryan was going to be at his Baptism. They had such a sweet spiritual moment that I am sure they both will never forget.

We Love you austin, and we are so proud of the decission you have made to be Baptized. You are such a Special Boy and such a good example to your friends and family!
