Well I was in the Hospital all last week and finally got to go Home Friday afternoon. It all started 2 weeks ago. I hade gone to the doctors on monday. I had an infected sore in my ear and Broncitis. I was given atibiotocs, fine the normal so I started taking them, Wednesday night about midnight I was laying in bed and my whole body got tingly. You know when your leg falls asleep and you get that tingly feeling well thats what I felt all over my body and my heart started pounding really fast and I was shaking and short of breath. It lasted for an hour and so we decided to go to emergency. I was scared. I had no clue what it was. I am not one to go in just because, 1st, becasue I hate waiting and 2nd because I don't want to feel stupid when they tell me its nothing!. So we go in and my blood pressure was high. They took blood test and made me test fot drugs! I guess when people come in like that they assume drugs! and everything came back normal. They couldn't tell me anything. So I went home. Friday comes along and I am still not getting better, I'm getting worse. I started having a fever and the cold shakes that you can't control and my ear was hurting so bad!!! I thought I had an ear infection. So we see Dr. Christensen Friday night and he tells me I don't have an ear infection and I'm just sick. So he puts me on more antibiotics. I only get worse and we can't figure out what it is. Saturday I still have the fever and everything else. I was freezing cold so I was covered up and my temp got to 106 under the covers so we took the covers off and my temp droped pretty quick. we called the on call doctor just to make sure that that was ok. and he said that is normal. Its when the temp doesn't go down, is when you need to worry. So there goes another day of misery! Sunday I woke up about 3:ooam with the shakes and a fever of 104 we couldn't get the fever to go down so I went to emergency. they started me on an iv and did more blood tests. everything kept coming back normal. My Doctor guy had seen me in the Er earlier that week so he said that I wouldn't leave until we figured out what was wrong. THANK YOU!!! I was so tired of being sick. they did a Spinal puncture to get spinal fluids becasue they thought it might be Meningitis. Let me tell you it HURT sooo bad! Negative for meningitis!gratefull I guess but still didn't know what was wrong. How frusterating! they did say that my white blood count was really low. Normal count is 8, around there, and mine was like a 1.5 . Not so good. So they admitted me. I was in a secluded room at the end of the hall and everyone who entered the room had to wear a mask, because I could easly get sick. They started me on all kinds of antibiotics and I broke out in a rash and hives, all over my body. After a couple days and still not getting better, my white blood count was still the same, Dr. Christensen called in another Doctor who specializes in internal medicince. He comes and startes telling me that only cancer and Lucemia patients had blood counts that low and he tells me that I might have to do a bone marrow test to see if I do have canancer. Talk about FREAKED out!!! nobody wants to hear that. Well it kinda got spread around the Hospital and even to alot of other people that I had Cancer. So just to clear everyone who heard that, I don't have cancer. They gave me some shots to boost my white blood count and It worked! over the next 2 days my whit blood count had gone up to almost normal. YEAH!! they think it was my antiobiotis that I was alergic to. I was on Sulfa and Levaquin. The Sulfa they think caused my blood count to drop. Its rare but it can happen. and they think that taking the Levaquin caused the rash and Hives. So after a full week in the hospital I am starting to get better and people don't have to wear the masks anymore, they discharged me on Friday. YEAH!! that was the longest week of my life! I couldn't do anything but sit there and fear the worst. I couldn't see my kids wich was the hardest!! not being in control. that was really hard for me! Thank you so much mom, for taking care of the kids and getting austin to school. I don't know what we would have done! We LOVE both you and dad so much! Thank you! So I am still on a couple antibiotics that don't make me feel the greatest but each day gets better. I am so thankfull for prayer and the power of Priesthood blessings. I had a couple of them and I knew that everything would be ok. that it was in the Lords hands and he would take care of me and my family and he did. I am so gratefull that it turned out ok. It was not fun but were all ok. Sorry about the novel but this is our Journal so I needed to make sure I said it all. Thank you to all who prayed for us and helped out in one way or another. We appreciate all of you!

Oh Sarah! WHat a horrible ordeal. I'm so glad you don't have cancer and that you're finally out of the hospital. Keep getting better!!
Wow! What a crazy week for you. I'm so glad you're near your family so they could help out with your kids. Things like this really make you think about the "what-ifs" and help you make sure every thing is in order "just in case". I hope you're doing better!
How scary! I am glad you are ok!
Oh Sarah how scary. I'm glad that everything is okay and that you're feeling better. I will be praying for you to have a smooth recovery.
WOW! I'm glad you are okay. That would have been scary for anyone!
We are so glad they got it all figured out! Hopefully-you guys can stay out of the hospital for awhile now. Let us know if you need anything!
Sarah, If you like the hospital food that much I am sure there is something less dramatic to do to get you hands on it:) I am so glad to hear you are okay. Hopefully the rest of 2008 will be completely uneventful for you:) or at least only in a good way.
Holy freaking crap! That's scary shiz! So glad you're going to be ok. My husband loves stories like this...not when it happens to people we know of coarse, so he won't love yours, but he is the most anti antibiotic person IN THE WORLD! Our younger two have never been on any because it screwed up our first so bad (poor guinea pig) and then he went to school and researched it long and hard.
Sucks that you had that BAD of a reaction, but SOO glad it's not cancer. How mean of them to come in and even say that kind of stuff w/o knowing first. Poor girl. Hope you continue to get better!
I am so glad that you are better!! not a fun few weeks for you guys! Poor Lady!
Holy Cow Sarah! You are so amazing and what a great example. I appreciate your testimony and endurance. What a horrible and frustrating experience to go through. I hate going to the doctor for the same reasons as you. I am very glad you are feeling better and that they have an idea of what was going on. Take care and continue to feel better!
Oh my heck there are SOO many amazing places there to do pictures! I love the old alleyways that are all over there. They make good light around 6-6:30 right now. especially the ones on old main in Safford. Also, some of those old broken down abanonded buildings...especially the ones you can get into, you can go in in the middle of the day and still get great light. There's a building on main in Snowflake that I LOVE...it's old and abandoned and there are no windows or doors and in the middle of the day it makes great light and has old old brick work on the inside, and anyway, ooh, or go out to the old run down cotton fields with Mt. Graham in the background. Nice. Wish I was there you could do ours and we'd do yours!
Sarah, I am SOOOOO sorry that you had to go through that. Your quick TOTAL recovery will be in our prayers.
